STUDENTS ARE WORKING TOWARD A CERTIFICATE IN MEDIA AND MARKETING CONTENT CREATION FROM THE CREATIVE INSTITUTE.

Students at Central Arkansas’ newest creative school returned to class this month — or should we say returned to work? Under the guidance of Daniel Cathers of Kanga Studio and Kahlief Steele of Silverlake Design Studio, students are set to complete ten more real-world client projects as they hone creative skills and learn to manage business relationships. Parallel to their creative portfolio work, students start a new slate of professional skills classes this week, including a business management and finance course taught by Jeff Standridge and Grace Rains of the Conductor. Through the course, students build their entrepreneurial skill set by completing a “lean canvas” business model and receive guidance from legal and financial experts.

Students who complete the 1-year program will receive a certificate in Media and Marketing Content Creation, and receive job placement assistance to enter the creative industry in Arkansas. Graduates each complete a creative portfolio, including over 20 client projects. Students learn to price their services, invoice for creative work, and build their client base.

Students who are interested in applying for the 2022-2023 program can call for admissions information at 501-232-1902 or email thrive@creativeinstitutear.org. Application information is available at creativeinstitutear.org/apply
